1. 04.2022 – Graduation from high school

After four years of the ups and downs of high school life, the end of April marked the culmination of this chapter for me. However, the journey wasn’t quite over yet. With the looming challenges of a maturity exam in May and a professional exam in June, the road to graduation was paved with last-minute study sessions, nerves, and a mix of excitement and anticipation. As the final tests approached, the mix of sadness and excitement about leaving high school and stepping into a new chapter of life hung in the air. 

2. 09.2022 – Come to Belgium

I remember as it was today, I packed the necessary stuff in a school backpack and got in my brother’s car. My brother, his girlfriend, cousin and (of course) me went to the airport. Little did I know, that day marked the beginning of a brand-new chapter in my life in Leuven.

The excitement and nervousness intertwined as I began on this journey to a new city, filled with endless possibilities and adventures waiting to unfold. Stepping foot in Leuven, I felt eager to explore the streets, meet new faces, and immerse myself in the vibrant culture of this Belgian gem.

As I settled into my new surroundings, each moment became a page in the story of my life in Leuven. The city quickly became more than just a city; it became a place where memories were made, friendships were forged, and dreams were chased.

3. 27.09.2022 – Start English courses in CLT

Back in high school, the idea of English shaping my future never crossed my mind. Living abroad seemed like a distant dream, so I didn’t prioritize developing English skills back then. It wasn’t until later that I realized the importance of communication in English, forcing me to enrol in language courses to enhance my abilities.

4. 31.01.2023 – Start the second semester in CLT

With dedicated teachers and engaging lessons, I found myself slowly gaining confidence in expressing myself in this new language.

One of the most rewarding parts of this experience was the friendships I made along the way. Connecting with like-minded people who shared my passion for learning opened up a whole new world of possibilities. We practiced together, shared our struggles, and celebrated our victories – creating a supportive community that made the journey all the more enjoyable.

5. 16.06.2023 – Summer holidays in Poland

It was my second time visiting my home country in 2023, and the excitement was noticeable.  So many plans were brewing in my mind, but time seemed to slip away faster than I could grasp it.

One of the highlights of my trip was stumbling upon the charming Herbal Corner. From soothing chamomile to invigorating peppermint, the Herbal Corner was a paradise for anyone seeking a natural remedy or simply a moment of peace.

One of the weekends, I found myself enjoying time swimming in Necko, the lake in Augustów. There was something magical about being surrounded by nature, feeling the gentle caress of the sun on your skin, and listening to the sounds of the water. It was the perfect day to unwind and soak in the beauty of the world around me.

6. 20.09.2023 – Enrollment at UCLL

Finalizing my registration and stepping into the world of university life was a long-awaited moment in my life. It’s a whole new chapter, a fresh start, and I couldn’t wait to dive in!

The feeling of officially becoming a university student is a mix of nerves, excitement, and a touch of fear. The campus buzzes with energy, students rushing to and fro, each with their own goals and dreams in mind.
